Description: 48 beat, 4 wall,  beginner/intermediate interactive line dance

The Fred was named for the owner of the Longbranch, one of the largest dance
clubs along the Eastern Seaboard, As jg2 says, this interactive dance "helps 
dancers learn to keep their lines neat and tidy, besides being fun to do."

1-8	BRUSH HANDS BACK, FRONT, CLAP TWICE, SLAP TWICE, CLAP TWICE
	NOTE: Feet are slightly apart with weight even for the first 8 counts
1	Brush hands across outside of thighs from front to back
2	Brush hands across outside of thighs from back to front
3-4	Clap hands twice
5	Extend arms to sides starting with R hand high palm down and
	L hand low palm up, bring R hand down slapping hands with person
	to your R and bring L hand up slapping hands with person to your L
6	Reverse above hand slap
7-8	Clap hands twice

9-16	1/4 TURN L, STEP, 1/4 TURN R, STEP
1-3	With weight on L, Push R foot to floor 3 times, turning a total of 1/4 L
4	Step R beside L.
5-7	With weight on R, Push L foot to floor 3 times, turning a total of 1/4 R
8	Step L beside R

17-24	WALK FORWARD 3, KICKS, WALK BACK 2
1-3	Walk forward R, L, R
4-6	Kick L forward, Kick L back, Kick L forward
7-8	Walk back L, R

25-32	1/4 TURN L, 1/2 TURN R, 1/2 TURN R, ROCK STEP
1	Place ball of L foot slightly behind R
2	Turn L 1/4 and shift weight to L foot
3	Place ball of R foot slightly behind L
4	Turn R 1/2 and shift weight to R foot
5-6	Step forward L, Turn 1/2 R and shift weight to R foot
7-8	Step forward L, Replace weight back to R foot

33-40	TOUCH SIDE & CROSS BEHIND 3 TIMES, KICK BALL CHANGE
1-2	Touch L toe out to L side, Step L crossed behind R
3-4	Touch R toe out to R side, Step R crossed behind L
5-6	Touch L toe out to L side, Step L crossed behind R
7&8	Kick R forward, Step back on ball of R, Replace weight forward to L

41-48	SLOW 1/2 TURN L, CHUG (SCOOT) FORWARD 4 TIMES

1	Step forward R, bending both knees
2-4	Leaving both feet where they are
	Slowly turn L 1/2 on the balls of both feet
	Option: During above turn shield eyes with R hand as though looking for something
5-8	Placing feet slightly apart, Chug (scoot) forward on both feet 4 times.
	OPTIONS.
	During above chugs twirl lasso over head with R arm.  
	For low impact variation, walk forward R, L, R, L
	For variation, Scoot forward on L 4 times while hitching R knee up
