This routine was arranged for The Southern Star Country Dancers' 1997 demo season and was first performed publicly in Trenton, IL on April 5, 1997.

Description: Phrased mixer routine for Trisha Yearwood's "Devil In Disguise" from the "Honeymoon In Vegas" soundtrack, combining elements of what we know as "Cotton Eyed Joe Mixer" and some semi-original country cha-cha stuff.

The original Elvis Presley cut should work as well.

I've broken the song down into 4 "phrases".

The first 3 phrases each have a 32-count up-tempo (country) cha-cha rhythm chorus and a 40-count polka rhythm verse.
The 4th phrase is 64-counts of the polka verse to fade.

Begin dancing after the 8-count instrumental intro.
Begin in closed dance position with men inside the circle facing the wall and ladies outside facing center.

Perform the dance as "written" with the following exception:

On counts 41-44 the man shuffles in-place as he turns the lady another full turn under his left arm
On 45 stomp together (men left, ladies left) and hold for 46-48

For demo purposes, we manually fade the music out and have the dancers polka off the instead of doing CEJ Mixer again after the 3rd Part B.
